Headhunted for a senior QA role – process lacked depth and integrity.
I was personally approached by Simployer for a senior QA leadership position. The initial contact was positive and professional, but the process that followed felt surprisingly superficial for a company that presents itself as people-first and quality-driven.
Despite being headhunted, I was never asked to submit my CV or provide any detailed information about my experience before receiving a rejection several weeks later. This suggests that decisions were made based on a brief conversation rather than a fair and structured assessment.
For a senior leadership role, such a process not only undermines the candidate experience but also raises concerns about potential bias and the company’s ability to evaluate senior technical talent objectively. It leaves an impression of immaturity in recruitment practices — unfortunate for an organisation that otherwise seems to value professionalism and quality.
Pros: Polite and friendly communication.
Cons: Superficial evaluation, lack of
structure and transparency, and potential bias when decisions are made without reviewing full qualifications
