Interview
I applied to my university's virtual recruitment drive. The first round consisted of an aptitude test with multiple-choice questions focusing on English grammar, sentence framing, and basic math. After that, the shortlisted candidates progressed to the second exam, which was cloud-based and also multiple-choice. This exam included questions about AWS, DevOps, operating systems, basic Linux commands, and other cloud-related topics.
After the exams, there was an interview round. My interview lasted for 290 minutes, which I found to be quite unfair. The interviewer seemed to misunderstand what I had written on my resume. I had mentioned "Amplify" in my resume, but they questioned how I used Amplify on an EC2 instance, which was puzzling. Additionally, they asked me about data structures and algorithms (DSA), while other candidates from my university were not asked DSA-related questions at all. They also didn't receive questions related to AWS, even though I am an AWS Certified Solutions Architect and have only one year of experience in DevOps. I felt that I was judged unfairly compared to the other candidates.
Furthermore, I learned that Simform does not convert all interns into full-time positions; only about 30% to 40% of interns are offered full-time roles.
