      Lead Loads Engineer Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Siemens Gamesa (New Delhi) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Contacted by a recruiter and CV shortlisted by company for loads position - asked for confirmation twice if it's for load physics/calculations and not software development - was told yes. Was surprised that no prelim telephonic round which I had insisted for. Asked to appear in Bangalore office for interview - in first 5 minutes comes the shocker, recruitment was for Tools and software development and not loads platform / physics. Not in my core interests/ competency, decided to pass in first 5 mins. Directly asked them why this was botched up without a preliminary phone interview and why shortlist when resume doesn't mention dev profile at all. Seemed like some one had to conduct interviews. Found that newly formed team and leadership, so these kind of hiccups can be expected. Made to sit for 1 hour to answer questions that have very low engineering impact or relevance - not something that is expected at a senior level. More importantly talks went over a wide range of disciplines which I could address reasonably. Only objective seemed to corner at some point and say that interview is not as per their expectation, which was a rather very indian school way of doing things , call someone- make them look bad- patronize and send out. It didn't seem to make sense why even waste collective time. Never done that to others whom I have interviewed. It sounds very weak leadership to me, quite unlike the rival market leader I work at. My current manager is a great leader to look upto no doubt at all and I was switching jobs for other reasons. 2 months later, still pursuing HR person for travel reimbursement (gauranteed for any interviewee that is asked to appear) and keep getting lame reasons like company merger siemens-gamesa is delaying process. What?? Such lousy reasoning. I can handle rejection, no issues. You convert some and you don't get through some. Without doubt, saved myself a bigger headache. 10 programming questions given.

      Question 1

10 questions related to coding in c / c++ but as mentioned this wasn't a proper shortlist as my skills do not match what they ultimately wanted.
