I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Shields for Families (Inglewood, CA) in Jun 2026
Interview
My process looked like an initial informational interview, eligibility screening (where they asked if I have access to a car and if I have lived experience with the child welfare system), and finally an in person interview which included a 30 minute case scenario. The in person interview flowed much more like a conversation and was very pleasant, not intense.

I interviewed at Shields for Families (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Straight forward interview process. Managers provided a lot of information regarding the position, the school and the job responsibilities. All of my questions were answered directly and I left feeling as if I had a full understanding of the position.
Very straight forward and informative . There was a brief overview of the company and description. Also included who you closely will work with and what it may look like in a day working with shields for family.
