      Account Executive Interview

      Apr 27, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Egham, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ServiceNow (Egham, England) in Apr 2015

      Interview

If you come from the ITSM sector, you should be fine. If you don't come from the ITSM sector, then the expectation is too high as far as how much you already need to know about the company, their offering, their positioning, their value proposition, etc. From their questions I got the impression they don't tend to sell at CxO or CxO -1 level. They position themselves as an Enterprise Platform, but seem to focus on traditional ITSM selling (the talk the talk, but not walk the walk?) Generally speaking I had an average/negative experience.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ServiceNow (London, England) in Mar 2025

      Interview

The interview process was four stages. Recruiter screening, Hiring Manager interview, Senior Sales Manager interview, and then Panel Interview. I thought the whole process was run really well and efficiently. From recruiter screening to receiving the offer was just under three weeks. There was slightly less support from the recruiter than I've experienced with other interview processes, however, that felt intentional (they were looking for how candidates interpret briefs and requirements) and they were incredibly transparent whenever I asked any questions. The panel interview was a great experience. I presented to two Senior Sales Managers and the Sales Director. They were engaged completely from start to finish, and were completely open to answering any of my questions - it ended up feeling like a great two-way conversation and they were providing feedback as we went along, which was hugely appreciated and isn't always the case in panel interviews. If it wasn't for receiving an offer from a dream organisation of mine to work at, I would have accepted the offer (and nearly did), as it would be a great company to work at.

      Interview

Very poor information from recruiter. The recruiter was unavailable most of the time when I was trying reach him. I didn’t receive comprehensive information about the preparation like I received in other big tech companies. I highly recommend you to be very careful with informations that you are receiving during recruitment process. Don't feel shy to ask the same question 10 times. And better do this with different people. In the other way you can feel like an idiot by being misinformed. That was really poor recruitment experience.
