The process was very informal and it felt like there wasn't much alignment on what they were looking for in the hire. My first interview was conversational and went well, and there seemed to be mutual interest. The next interview was an hour with someone this role would be supporting, which also seemed to go very well...but I was ghosted afterward. I even took time out of my family's vacation to have a Zoom interview on very short notice.
This seems to be happening more with companies not closing the loop and/or ghosting candidates. It's frustrating as I feel like I've wasted my time, but also feel like I dodged a bullet because I would not want to work for someone (or a team) that treats other professionals that way.
