The interview process took more than 2 months, partly because of yearend holidays and partly because of time zone differences (US vs HK). Interviews were good as such and most of the interviewers were very practical and engaging. But two interviews were weird because they had nothing to do with my FIX onboarding skills but rather about my application support skills which were not part of the Job Description and none of the 5 interviewers prior to that told me or asked me any questions related to that. Just when I was waiting for an offer to be made and being told by my recruiter several times that the company is super excited to have me, comes a cold email saying they are no longer proceeding with me. This is after they calling up all my references and getting fantastic reviews about me. What was a fantastic experience turned very negative right at the end. Lesson learnt: I hate to have multiple offers/discussions at hand as I feel it is unfair to the companies dealing with me but looks like that is the way to go. I lost another opportunity because of this.
