I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Schneider Electric (Montreal, QC) in Feb 2024
Interview
I had an interview for a software developer intern position for summer 2024. The interviewer was very professional, and accommodating. It went very smoothly.
It was a 30-minute interview on MS.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It was mostly behaviour questions like tell me about yourself, your experience and projects, and what languages you are comfortable using.
And three technical questions about data structure and algorithm (no coding involved)

Interview
Absolutely horrible experience. Very rude interviewer and was told there would be no DSA, instead was asked to create a doubly linked list in c by memory and was asked another 15+ questions about C++ where i was expected to code the solution in <5 minutes from memory. Interviewer gave 0 feedback and wasn't even shared on anything like coderpad where we could debug together. He also pasted snippets of code into the chatbox and told me to fix it? (Became all jumbled from MSFT teams formatting) and got defensive when I told him that I can't just code everything from scratch without at least referencing docs. They are asking quant firm level questions for a position that pays only $30 an hour, 0/10.

Question 1
Where do I even start, asked me everything about C++ under the sun, learn how to implement data structures in C and write all the .h and .c functions. Expect quant level interview questions with memory allocation in theory aswell.
I applied through university. I interviewed at Schneider Electric (Victoria, BC) in Mar 2025
Interview
It was with a team of 5 different people and they would take turns asking you questions. The questions didn't really have too much to do with any technical stuff or such its just your resume and see if you can work through your resume
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Was mainly questions about your projects and experiences on your resume and seeing if you could explain that
Was sent a Hirevue with 5 questions to be answered through a video response.
A few weeks later received an email about scheduling 30 minute interview with an engineer on the team.
