I got a call from the HR regarding the position and immediately went for the phone assessment interview. Just a few programming and situational questions. After I passed the phone interview, I was scheduled for a face-to-face interview with the manager. I was asked about the internship learnings, thesis learnings, certain scenarios and he would then explain the role I’m applying for and the team I’ll be joining in once I passed. After passing that interview, there is one final interview with the officer from the US. I was initially told it was a skype interview but he was in the country when I was for assessment so it became a group interview with both the manager and the US manager. Nothing technical. More on how I see myself with the role. How I handle pressure. I can say it was a good interview. Although there was a noticeable concern since I was female and the rest of the team were male. But I hoped that did not affect my application. I was informed that I would get the final result within 2-3 weeks. When I followed up, I was informed that I was shortlisted. After a month, I had not heard from the HR anymore and the job posting is no longer accepting applications - meaning they’ve already hired someone.
Good thing I gor hired at a really good company much closer to home. Although, I wish they would still inform their applicants on their status when they fail. I waited for a month to hear their feedback but none returned. Hope they improve this.
