      Ingénieur/Responsable De Structure Interview

      Jun 11, 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Schneider Electric in Apr 2013

      Interview

I was informed of the position by one of my professors. I e-mailed my resume and cover letter to the contact who was listed and within a few days they contacted me regarding a phone screening. I was also told at this time to fill out an assessment to gauge my knowledge of technical terms and how I thought. It was not too difficult. The phone screen was also fairly straightforward; they asked questions about my background and what was on my resume, how you would deal with certain situations, general interview questions. I then scheduled an in-person interview that would take place a couple of days later. This interview was also pretty straightforward. I met with two people who worked in the department who were both very nice and helped me to feel relaxed about the whole process. The work environment and interview were both very casual. This interview was more about getting to know the candidate and figuring out whether or not he or she would fit in in the position, department, and office. Two weeks after the interview I did not hear any response so I called the HR representative who I had been talking to and she informed me that the position had already been accepted by another candidate. The HR rep then said that she would look into another department that she thought I would work well in and would get back to me on whether or not they had any openings. I appreciated that she would put in the effort to help me get a position there. From my experiences it is a great company.

      Question 1

There were no questions that were particularly difficult. I was able to answer them all with relative ease.
