Therefore, I recommend that the company reevaluate this aspect of its recruitment strategy. It would be more ethical and transparent to use design challenges that are based on hypothetical or unrelated products. This approach would ensure that the primary goal of the design challenge remains to assess candidates' skills and creativity, rather than to extract unpaid insights that could benefit the company's business. Such a practice would not only uphold ethical standards but also enhance the integrity of the recruitment process.
