I was contacted by a recruiter who requested some personal information before scheduling a face to face meeting with the hiring team. I arrived at the interview very excited to participate and was interviewed by 2 separate members of the UK senior communications team. That was early December 2015. After this, I was not contacted again for several weeks. At this point I decided to get back in contact with the recruiter that I spoke to originally who scheduled the interview to request feedback. He acknowledged my email and said that he would get back to me. I never heard from them. An absolutely appalling way to treat a potential candidate and totally unnecessary. It takes 2 minutes to send an email or 5 minutes to make a phone call to let a candidate know where they stand in the recruitment process. It is really not acceptable to invite a candidate in for a face to face interview, with all the preparation that entails, only to ignore them once it's over. It has totally put me off Santander, both as a customer and as a potential employee.
