The hiring manager found me through LinkedIn and asked if I was interested in interviewing for the open position. The initial phone call was very pleasant. The in person interview was a full day and I met with 5 people. Most were professional and pleasant...most.
The hiring manager was a bit off tilt and in addition to a traditional interview gave me a pivot table test, followed by a PPT test of sorts, and then followed by an analysis of a fully developed brochure exercise.
Now, I may have found the pivot table test ridiculous, it was her mannerisms and lack of common courtesy for the test portion that I found rude and disturbing. I withdrew my candidacy later that evening. It gave me a terrible impression of her and the company. Post this experience, I know of others who had similar experiences. No thank you.
