I applied through my college. They invited me for a test, detailing on what will be tested. It was gracious of them to tell us the material of the test and what language will be tested.
The test was extremely hard, as the test date was 2 days after I received the e-mail and I haven't studied any programming language since 2 years ago.
I got an interview offer after I messed up the test anyway. They said that the test was just a small part of their consideration and they mainly screened applicants from their CV.
I was interviewed in English, the interviewer was kind and a fun person to talk with. He asked about my previous experience, passion, and ideal job.
Unfortunately, after a long interview, he said that he was offering me a position as a Data Scientist. But since we have talked about my passion and interest before, he concluded that I did not fit for the job (even though I was qualified, he said) because I was not interested in coding-related jobs and he was looking for someone who's passionate about coding and analyzing data. And that's it.
1 hour 30 minutes interview that turns out to be an offering for another job that you did not know until you're rejected. Nice.
