      Business Operations Associate Interview

      Mar 20, 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Samsara (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2023

      Interview

Submitted online application, was contacted by someone from their HR team for a phone interview about one week later. This was the most foreign job interview I have ever taken. The woman on the line sounded like she was multitasking and could care less about conducting an actual interview. Essentially, it felt like she was just trying to mark the task off of her to-do list for the day. She lacked interpersonal skills, and it made for the most awkward interview I have ever taken. Graduated at the top of my class, studied at two ludicrous institutions (US and UK based), yet this interviewer made me feel like I lacked all qualifications. I elected to stop the interview process with this company.

Has there been a moment of adversity at your current or former job? How did you overcome this? (wording slightly different)

      Business Operations Associate Interview

      Jan 5, 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara in Dec 2021

      Interview

Long interview process. Steps are: -Call w/recruiter -Video interview with Hiring Manager -Video interview with different Manager -Take home assignment and presentation to a panel of 4, two are the managers you interviewed with and two are new people -4 video interviews individually with the panel members after the presentation -Final interview with a high up (think global head of X) person in the vertical you're interviewing with Overall nothing terribly difficult, just quite time consuming. They ask a ton of questions regarding your experience. I would have like 12+ stories to draw on if possible, I probably heard "tell me about a time you" 40 times throughout the process. Didn't get an offer and I suspect I didn't because some of my answers drawing on my experience got weak at the end after basically running out of relevant experiences to talk about. Everyone was generally friendly, although one of the panelists I interviewed with came across as rather smug. Everyone seemed smart and excited for the future of the company Pretty interesting company overall, definitely don't regret interviewing. Heard WLB and benefits are great
