I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sainsbury’s (Edinburgh, Scotland) in Oct 2021
Interview
Applied online, selected for 1-1 interview in store. Went through a few standard questions such as holiday, overtime, and uniform then was asked a few competency based questions. Hadn't heard for a couple of weeks as manager on holiday but recieved a phone call and email confirming I was successful and my hours/initial shift pattern.
Super simple and friendly- basic questions about time management and past experience. One in-person interview after an online assessment prior, very encouraging environment. Questions ask for real examples to quantify the answer.

Just a little chat. Tell me about yourself. When are you available? Very friendly. Not difficult. Trading Assistant requires heavy lifting. It is generally quite easy. GOOD LUCK. ashford sainsbury's
