I applied online. I interviewed at SWCA (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2020
Interview
It took three months from the time of application until the initial contact from the company. The recruiter requested either a 6 or 6:30 am phone interview with no explanation for the non standard business hour call. Once the call was scheduled, the recruiter was 10 minutes late for the call and was unprepared. She did not have my resume at hand and once found, began a disorganized interview process. At the end of the call the recruiter committed to call no later than six business days later with an update and status. After 10 business days, I sent an email inquiry to check status. I received no acknowledgement or response for another five business days. Finally the recruiter called. When we spoke she said, "The job has been filled and not with you." WOW! What an unprofessional and unnecessary way to respond. This was the most unorthodox and unprofessional communication from a supposed seasoned HR professional. She should be ashamed of her behavior and how poorly she represented the organization. While possible I wasn't the right fit for the position, some common courtesy and decorum should be the norm for a recruiter dealing with candidates daily. Very disappointing and a poor reflection on the field of HR.
