Questions focused on my actual work (decisions I had made in projects, how I would approach things differently in a different configuration of the problem, what tools/practices I use) which I really appreciated. Everyone was kind and seemed excited to speak with me. 1. Screening with hiring manager 2. Panel with 3 engineers of varying seniority and the group lead 3. Offer Very clear/cut and dry process.

I had an initial virtual interview. It went well, and I was feeling really good about the company. The manager I talked to was knowledgeable, and he seemed like a pleasure to work with. After that, the rest of the process was chaotic and unorganized. They scheduled me to meet with someone else. In the process of getting that scheduled, they accidentally cancelled the meeting. They re-scheduled when I pointed it out. Then, they sent me a confirmation email with the wrong meeting time. Nevertheless, I met with the second guy, but he was out of the loop and not even sure what he was supposed to be talking to me about. After that meeting, I was ghosted for three weeks. I sent an email after the first week asking for an update. When I did not get a response, I assumed that they had moved along to other candidates. No big deal. After three weeks of silence, I get an email saying they want to schedule a 3-hour virtual interview. After being ghosted, I reluctantly provide my availability. They get back to me saying to update availability because they changed their mind and now want to do a 5-hour in-person interview. I declined. I am sure that STR is a great place to work, but the disorganization in the HR department really turned me off to the position.
