I applied online. I interviewed at SPI Lighting (Mequon, WI) in Oct 2017
Interview
The interview process was pretty typical for someone in my type of position. I first had a phone interview, then in-person interviews with HR and 3 managers. I enjoyed speaking with all of them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about previous experience? Challenges in previous roles? Can we see your portfolio? Why do you want this position?...etc.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at SPI Lighting (Mequon, WI)
Interview
Was very short. Seemed they were just trying to get people in the door. Less than a 10 minute interview. Given a very basic math test in which the person reviewing it didn’t even know the terminology of some of the questions which I had to explain what it meant and basically correct her mistakes.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SPI Lighting (Mequon, WI) in Apr 2017
Interview
Disorganized and unprofessional. They failed to schedule a phone interview with me, and pretended like they called previously even though I had no voice mails or record on my phone of their missed call, implying that I don't have my act together. That was obviously an unscheduled attempt at an interview as well. I was called and interviewed on the spot without any opportunity for preparation, and the HR person had no clue what questions they were asking, or what my responses were when it came to engineering. I even questioned what she was talking about. I have been told that the ownership and management of this company is questionable, and this experience reinforced those beliefs.
