I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SO Recycle (Southampton, England) in May 2019
Interview
So recycle got back to me very quickly after submitting my CV and invited me for an interview. My first interview was held in the kitchen/staff room by the managing director. He asked me the same questions multiple times and did not actually seem to listen to my answer. He also made comments about my lack of telesales experience although I had made this very clear on my CV and in previous answers to questions he had already asked me however I was still invited for a second ‘interview’. In the so called interview I was sat with the telemarketing leader or manager (not 100% sure of her role) who was really lovely. I listened to calls for about half an hour then was given a script and put straight on the phone, I did calls for almost 2 hours. They then just said I could go and they would be in touch. I never heard anything back and even sent a very polite email just to ask for feedback which they never replied to. Considering I did almost two hours unpaid work for them the least they could have done was reply and the could not have been that unimpressed by me considering they let me call their clients for this long. Very unprofessional company.

Question 1
Why would you want to work in sales if you haven’t ever done it before?
Thank you for your feedback and your kind words - we're blessed with a lovely team.
And I can understand your disappointment at not being successful in the role.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SO Recycle (Romsey, England) in May 2019
Interview
After applying via Indeed, an invite to an “interview day” was received by email. It was a “come along any time between x and y” situation which I felt was a little odd. I replied advising I’d be able to be with them at some point in a given 30minute window.
I arrived, rang the doorbell. No answer. I waited a few minutes as thought perhaps a receptionist was dealing with something and would come to the door shortly. Nothing. I rang the bell again and a man appeared with someone who he let out the office whilst greeting me. No handshake.
I was lead through to what I assume was a break room. Not offered a seat.
The “interview” was me, standing in front of the business owner answering his questions whilst he mostly looked out the window at the women running by in gym gear.
I was told multiple times that he had seen 60 people that day, 45 of which could do the job so “don’t get your hopes up”.
My CV was nowhere in sight and there was no structure to the “interview” at all, no notes were made and I was asked the same question multiple times despite giving full answers. No questions about why I think I’d be good for this role and no background or extra information on the role given. No opportunity to ask any questions myself.
After about 10mins I was shown out. Not heard anything since.

Question 1
Why do you want to leave your job? (Asked about 4 times)
Thank you for your feedback -that's a pretty bang on description of how our informal chat interviews go, (from a negative persons point of view obviously!).
