3 interviews, worked with an external recruiter. I was well qualified and was offered a position for a sum that is below the budget range and a tiny bump from my last drawn salary, so I negotiated for more through the recruiter. The next day, they promptly rescinded my offer, citing wanting someone “more humble” and willing to grow slowly together with the company. It’s all I needed to know about career prospects and how employees are treated in this company. 🚩 Its all good because I got a much better offer from a more established firm after.
