I applied for "Junior IT Recruiter" position and the day after I got an email from them reaching out to get an hour for a first interview call. We've made it and went so great! The interviewer was very friendly and open, and explained all the information about the job position and the following steps into the process once you're in.
She told me that I would know some feedback in the end of the next week, but didn't happen. Even that, I sent them an follow up email to let them know that I was very close to close a contract in other hiring process I was with. Almost immediately I got an answer saying that she hadn't any feedback yet but she'd be back as soon as she had something.
On Monday I had an email asking for a time to make a final interview call. We made it the next day and it was the weirdest interview I've ever had, even as a Sourcer/Recuiter I am. I know that this was a follow up interview, to know each other, but come on, he hardly even asked about my experience or work, instead asked me about where I'm living and other random things. He was moving, changing place, like he was in a boring thing, it was uncomfortable for me. Then, 15 minutes later he suddenly cut off the conversation abruptly, and already saying goodbye, he asks how the weather was where I live. Very confusing thing.
I have to add that I applied for a position, that in the first steps was told to be remote, and he started to sell an onsite position, thing that later, didn't like.
The day after I got an email from the first recruiter saying that they will not be proceeding any further with my application. I appreciate having an answer, even when they didn't say any reason or additional information.
