      QA Automation Engineer Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ruby Play (Warsaw, Masovia)

      Interview

Pros: The initial stages of the recruitment process were smooth and well-structured. I had the chance to meet technical and product leaders who seemed professional and passionate about their work. The communication at the beginning was prompt, and the company gave the impression of being organized and established. Cons: Unfortunately, the recruitment experience deteriorated toward the end. After four rounds of interviews over the course of a month, I was left without any feedback for several days following the final HR interview. Eventually, I received a generic rejection email stating that the role was given to an internal referral. This made the entire process feel like a formality, rather than a fair evaluation. What was most disappointing was the lack of transparency and the emotional toll of waiting without clarity. For a company of this size, I expected a more respectful closure — especially after investing so much time and effort. Advice to Management: Be upfront if a referral is being seriously considered from the beginning. Avoid dragging external candidates through long processes when a decision has already been made internally. Also, if a candidate reaches the final stage, they deserve timely, personal, and constructive feedback — not silence followed by a template email.
