I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at RocketSpace (London, England)
Interview
Very long process for what was pitched as an entry-level role. 4 stage interview process (Telephone, F2F, Skype with US, final in-person presentation). The internal recruiter was useless, took ages to even get back with feedback, let alone next steps. In the end, they went with another candidate, which is absolutly fine, but the reason they gave for not selecting me was that the US team found it weird that I don't have a degree. Would have thought this is something you could work out after 1 interview rather than wasting my time with 4 stages..?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked numerous times how I dealt with challenging stakeholders. Based on the other reviews I would assume that is beacuse they have alot of them.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RocketSpace (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
Four-person (successive, not panel-style) interview, with each segment lasting approximately 15 minutes. The first thing I was struck by was how friendly and easygoing everyone was. I walked away with the impression that RocketSpace was an ideal place for someone of my personality & skills (extrovert, goal-oriented, high-energy thinker/doer) to flourish.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give a short synopsis of your background and personality. / How would your friends describe you, in three words. / What are your strengths & weaknesses. / What is an ideal work environment for you. / How do you handle stressful situations which require multi-tasking and quick decision-making.
In other words, the standard interview questions.
NOTE: I put all this effort into filling this review out, only to find out when I tried to submit it that I cannot submit it unless every question Glassdoor asks is answered. Which is a bit of a letdown, because I only just stepped out of the interview an hour ago, feel very good about it, and feel like I might be getting an offer. #fingerscrossed However, the "Did you get an offer" question has three choices: No, Yes but I declined, and Yes and I accepted. So, it seems the "Interview Review" wasn't set up for someone in my position (i.e. interviewed and awaiting a decision). But since I'm loath to have wasted a bunch of time invested in writing all this out, I'm going to go ahead and answer with what I feel should and will happen: Yes, and I accepted.
And hope that I didn't just jinx myself! :)
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RocketSpace (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2016
Interview
I worked with a friendly recruiter (who has now left the company) who I thought had been looking out for me, and was pretty excited about the opportunity. However, after several successful interviews, and flying across the country to participate in a final round presentation, I was offered a job as an associate (2 levels lower than I had been interviewing for, about 5 years below my expertise, and 10k less than my previous position, pre-graduate degree) because someone who had never interviewed me thought that would be a better fit. Two of my interviewers and the recruiter separately reached out to apologize and to say that they thought this was a mistake, but no one was able to remedy it. Given that I had several offers on the table, this was an easy one to cut out. It was sad because I thought some of the people were great, but the experience made me feel as though the company was not being managed well.
