Recruiter reached out to me for Staff Engineer position and I was open to senior role too in case the bar is too high for Staff position. Firstly, I had Hiring manager round which was ok. After that I had technical assessment round where I was asked to implement stock-update problem. I discussed my solution which may not be optimal but should be working. There was just wordy problem description and you have to come up with all function signature and assumptions. I started conversation and parallelly started coding. Before I could run it, time was over. Over call it appeared that interviewer is accepting that as solution but finally got rejection. I don’t know if they are looking for full production ready code but I would recommend future candidates to code faster to make it complete and one suggestion to interview panel to keep the expectation realistic.

The interview was pretty easy and straight forward. Pros: Easy interview process - Leetcode Easy Cons: Interviewer did not show any interest in hiring. [Seems like they were interviewing for formality] Interviewer and manager were totally out of sync with what they are looking for.
