Consisted of a pre-screening video recording, moved onto a group interview with other engineers and the person hiring and was to present an innovative solution that could be implemented in the Aluminum Smelter and what the benefits would be.
Easy, behavioural questions and technical questions. Screening questions and those hocous pocus personalities questions. Then interview them site interview. Meet with the team manager standard stuff. Nothing out of ordinary
Lengthy, took a couple of months from first step to reach a final in person interview. Reviewed analytical skills and live interview covered technical and personality questions. Was okay but lots of steps.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Rio Tinto (Perth, Western Australia)
Interview
Technical and behavioural questions asked. The interview was close to 1hr and divided into a technical component and behavioural component. Submitted cv online, had a phone interview and was then short-listed to a face to face interview. The process took around 4 months from applying.
