The recruiters for the position were great. They kept me up to date on everything going on within the process. Other than that, awful experience.
Unfortunately there was a personnel change so my interview was quite delayed. Again, the recruiters were great and apologetic about the changes, but the woman I interviewed with was not.
I find it odd to start off an interview with the woman talking about how busy she is and how sheâs only been in this position for less than a week. Even stranger to be interviewed by someone who seemed to have no grasp of what was going on within Ring. She bluntly mentioned she did not read my resume and had no concept of who I was. I understand this can be the norm, but typically I have not had it so boldly told to me in an interviewâ it felt rather unprofessional.
Having friends who have worked at Amazon, and reading the interview prep materials, I was ready to answer behavioral questions like Iâve been told would be asked. She asked me nothing of the sort, in fact she barely asked me anything. Just the typical âtell me about yourselfâ and then vague questions about whatever I had said.
In the end it felt like a courtesy interview as they had me waiting for it to be scheduled for quite some time, however I wouldâve rather the interview just be cancelled if there was no longer interest in employing me. All in all, bullet dodged.
