There was an HR screen, which was pretty relaxed and straightforward. Then there was an on-site interview with multiple managers or senior-levels all in the same room at the other end of the table. I felt like the interview went fairly well. During that interview, after they were done asking me questions, they said they'd leave and then fill the Project Manager in to see if I would move on to the THIRD interview which would be with him. They said they would return and let me know. At this point, I had to use the restroom, so I let one of the ladies at the from know and took just quick 2-3 minutes to take care of that. When I returned, she told me that they would not be coming back and to just wait for an email update. I did, and the decision was that I would not be moved forward. I thought it was unprofessional to not keep to their word and return to notify me in person. There was also an issue with WHAT I was being interviewed for. I'd applied for a position that needed Java experience, which I do have. But somehow ended up being interviewed for a position that was more web-dev focused and looking for PHP experience, which I do not have. I feel like I was set up for failure here.
