I was called by an HR rep to discuss the position and answer relevant questions. I also took a sales skills test. Before I had an in-person meeting, an HR person emailed me an extensive questionnaire that included personal information such as the type of car I drive, my extended family's names, careers and locations, and my hobbies. It was noted on the questionnaire that if ALL information was not completed the company would go no further in the interviewing process. It also indicated this information would be used to determine if the candidate would be a fit financially for the position. I did not feel the need to include my family members in this application process, as I have lived away from home for 20 years.. so I did not answer and was promptly emailed that I was not a fit for the position.
