      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Revolut (Singapore) in Aug 2025

      Interview

Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn. The process had 5 stages: 1. Screening Call – Resume walkthrough and discussed on motivation for interviewing. 2. SHL Assessment – CCAT test: 40 questions in 20 minutes, with ~31/40 needed to pass. 3. Skills Interview – Technical interview with a senior financial controller (UK). Covered resume in detail and included questions on month-end process, IFRS 16 leases, impairment of intangible assets, and bank reconciliations. Questions were quite theory-heavy, but the interviewer was professional and shared helpful insights about the role. 4. Problem-Solving Interview – Case-style discussion with the senior manager from the local finance team on improving CSAT scores at an airport. Engaging conversation but felt somewhat unrelated to the actual role. 5. Team Fit Interview – Final round with the local head of finance (hiring manager). This was the least engaging stage. The interviewer followed a strict checklist of behavioral questions and offered minimal insight into the company or role. I was occasionally spoken over mid-response (likely unintentional). There was also an awkward shift in the conversation flow mid-interview when the interviewer noted we should have started with behavioral questions. At times, the focus was more on the situations I described than my actions or results. The interview concluded with my closing questions being answered briefly. Overall Impression: The recruiter was responsive, helpful, and provided prep calls before each stage. Update and feedback between rounds were quick (1–2 days). Including the hiring manager earlier in the process may help assess mutual fit more efficiently.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Skills interview: 1. Tell me about a typical month-end process. 2. How would you account for lease and non-lease components? 3. How would you account for a lease modification? 4. How do you identify a lease? 5. How do you impair for an intangible asset? 6. When can you reverse impairment for IA and to what extend? 7. Can you reverse impairment on goodwill? 8. How do you do a bank reconciliation? Problem-solving interview: You are working at an airport. Your CSAT score is 2/5 but your competitor's is 4/5. How can you improve your CSAT score? Team fit interview: 1. What was one time you had an internal team conflict and how did you resolved it? 2. Tell me about a time when you had to complete a task with limited resources. 3. Have you ever made an important decision without consulting your manager? 4. Why Revolut?

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Revolut (Singapore)

      Interview

The recruiter arrived late, and was extremely aggressive in obtaining my last drawn compensation, including the specific breakdown of salary, bonus, etc. off the bat. When I tried to ask a question, the response felt dismissive. He mentioned that he had to leave for the next interview as he was late and cut the session short.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut (London, England) in Apr 2025

      Interview

Way too long, some stages are not relevant to the role you apply for. First round with HR: would not recommend my recruiter as he was 100% disengaged and felt like he just wanted the call to be over. After a month, I get an email for the skills interview. When I asked more info to the recruiter I was ghosted so I turned up to the interview without knowing what to expect. The hiring manager was nice but he didnt ask me any competency/skill question, so I am still wondering why I didnt make it to the following stage. My recruiter obviously didnt care to share any feedback regardless of me sending an email requesting it. At no point I was given any idea re salary, which I think is disrespectful given the amount of time they require you to invest in their process. At no point they talk about team work... it all seems to be about individuals rather than working together towards common goals. HR seriously needs some restructuring in this company... never seen such an appalling way of dealing with candidates in my 14 years of experience. So much talk for being the best in class, yet they allow poor practices in their HR department. No offer but maybe it was just not the right timing/opportunity.
