      Science Graduate Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rentokil Initial (Warrington, North West England, England) in Oct 2020

      Interview

After submitting my CV online for the science graduate position I received an email the following day from Matthew inviting me for a telephone interview which I could book at my own convenience. The interview was very friendly and informal and Matthew made me feel at ease throughout. I was asked a number of questions regarding my CV, the company and several competency based questions at this stage of the recruitment process. I was contacted a week later by Matthew who congratulated me on making it to the next stage, this was a video interview with David and Steve. Although it was more formal than my initial phone interview I was made to feel completely at ease and was given time to think about my answers. Questions included knowledge I had gained regarding the company history, ethos and also the products and services they offer then more competency-based questions. A week later I was again contacted by Matthew to congratulate me on making it to the final interview stage which was a field morning with Pete, a current technician. This was followed by a meeting with managers Steve and Andy. Prior to this stage I was required to complete a multiple choice critical reasoning assessment which comprised of maths and literary questions and also complete a COVID 19 form. The morning with Pete was a great chance to experience what the role would entail and is a good opportunity to ask as many questions as you like. Pete was great at answering all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend taking a few notes regarding the role as to be prepared for the meeting with the managers. Following the morning with Pete I met with Steve and Andy and we had an informal discussion. They asked questions about what I had learned from my morning in the field and whether I thought I would enjoy the role. They also answered any questions I had and discussed the role in further detail. I waited less than a week before receiving calls from Andy and Matthew telling me that I had been successful and discussing the next stages of the process. Overall, I had a positive experience interviewing at Rentokil. The process is very thorough which can be a little daunting however everyone I met was very supportive and friendly which really helped to settle my nerves. Matthew was lovely and very supportive ensuring that I was fully prepared for my interviews and staying in contact throughout. Advice for anyone currently going through the interview process is to make sure you research the company and the services and products that they offer and ask as many questions as you need to, especially on the field morning.

      Interview

Quite lengthy overall due to some issues but never felt like I was being kept in the dark. 4 stages including a field day that was very useful, the others being an initial phone interview then 2 video calls before and after the field day. Callum and Jess assisted me throughout the process and were both very helpful and kind.

      Interview

The whole interview process was great. It was all organised by Siobhan, who was brilliant. She conducted the first telephone interview and kept me up to date with what was going on throughout the whole process. The interview process started with a telephone interview, followed by an in person field interview (more of a taster session than an interview), followed by an online interview with the management in the region I applied for. The field interview was the best part of the process for me, as I went around with a technician who was open to answering any questions, and it was a great first hand view of what the job actually involves.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rentokil Initial (London, England) in Jan 2022

      Interview

3 stage interview process. Stage one was a telephone interview which was more about my willingness to do the role (fear of heights etc), and online competency test. Stage 2 was an online videocall interview which was more focused around my skills, abilities and knowledge of the company. Stage three was a taster shift followed by a face to face interview which was more orientated towards my desire for the role and intentions/future plans. this interview process was very straightforward and easy to understand, the questions were relevant and concise and the interviewers were exceptionally friendly and helpful, particularly Siobhan and Scott. Their friendly demeanour really put me at ease during the interview process.
