Interview
We jumped on a zoom call and proceeded to have a casual chat. We went over my portfolio and the design process, while they asked follow-up questions on my work. Nearing the end I asked questions to them. Generally they were nice to chat with!
When I asked about a follow-up after the interview, they said that I would get an answer "very soon" so I felt that it was promising. However when I got an email from the recruiter, they said that they didn't have permission to open the role yet and couldn't make the offer, which was a bit of a shame since it did seem like it would be a great match.

Interview
Interviewed through a recruiting company, took a long time to hear from them and the process lasted multiple weeks. The reason why I wasn’t chosen was told to be that the team loved someone else, so me being more senior did not matter.
