      Fast and well-organized process with clear communication throughout. The interviews felt conversational rather than overly formal, and each stage seemed thoughtfully designed. Everyone I met was kind, engaged, and respectful of my time. Overall, a very positive candidate experience.

      Very long, asked to jump through hoops and spend time putting together presentations without being compensated for sourcing candidates for their open roles and putting together an employer branding strategy all to have the founder at the very end dig into old irrelevant experience and disqualify you.

We make sure to be open about our interview stages on our job postings as well as in our first-round interviews so that candidates know the expectations and can decide if Relay is an opportunity they’d like to pursue. We've developed the case study round as a way to give candidates a flavour of the type of work they'll focus on on the job. While it gives the opportunity for our team to assess your practical skills, it is also meant to give candidates more insight into our business and whether or not we have problems you'd get excited to solve and work you'd enjoy doing. We understand that not all candidates can make it through successfully, but many steps are taken to ensure a fair and consistent process for everyone.

      I wish to express that my experience was unfortunate and unjust. Initially, the process appeared promising, and I invested a considerable amount of time and effort into the case study. I confidently presented the case study, receiving positive feedback from a team member who acknowledged my greater experience and expressed eagerness to learn from me. Regrettably, I was ultimately declined for reasons that felt biased and questioned my personal integrity. This interview stands as one of the most disheartening experiences I've encountered. In my 6+ years within the industry, I have never encountered a situation that made me doubt my character. Despite my negative interview experience, I want to emphasize that Relay remains a great company with a commendable mission. My unfortunate encounter does not take away from the organization's positive attributes. I encourage the talent team to improve and strive for impartiality during interviews, separating personal sentiments from the assessment process.
