The entire process from application submission to receiving an offer took approximately a month. The recruiter sent me a coding task in a form of a Gist. The coding task had 7 coding questions of easy to easy-medium difficulty. It took me around two hours to complete the task and send it back. After a few days, I received a positive response informing me that the team was interested in a technical interview with me. The technical interview was conducted via Google Meets and involved two developers. They asked a range of questions related to programming in general, web development, and frontend development. I found the questions to be relevant to the position and enjoyed the overall experience. After a few more days, I was informed that the next round would focus on cultural fit. This round allowed me to discuss various topics, including remote work and my previous experience. A couple of days after the cultural fit interview, I received the offer from the company. However, the offer did not include the salary details, it only mentioned that the company pays at the top of my local market. After I provided my salary expectations, the company responded with a lower offer, which was lower than my current salary. That is why I had to decline the offer. Despite the issue with the salary negotiation, I had an overall positive experience with Rebilly. The interview process was well-structured, and the interviewers were professional. However, do not make my mistake, and discuss your salary expectation early in the process to avoid potential disappointments.
