      Boston, MA
      No offer

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Rapid7 (Boston, MA)

      Interview

Long interview process. 6 stage process. Overall great process just wasn’t the right fit for the job. Not sure if the position was even open to be honest. Had me come into Boston Office and didn’t pay for my parking.

      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Mar 4, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rapid7 in Jan 2025

      Interview

I found this job posting on the website. I have double the requirements that were listed, so I applied. After about a week, a recruiter emailed me asking to schedule an interview. During the interview, we reviewed my qualifications, and I asked a few questions about how long this can take and what the process entails. Essentially, they had an aggressive timeline to hire, and they were hiring several roles with this posting. Next week, I had a meeting with the hiring manager. The questions were simple, and he didn't ask any technical or scenario questions. A few days later, the recruiter said my interview went well, and the next step was to have a panel interview. However, it wasn't a panel interview. I had three separate interviews with three people, all basic and repetitive, asking about what was in my resume. Generally, the interviewers were late and did not care, as if they were killing time and asking about my resume as if they were just going through the process. Without getting into much detail, a manager bragged about his remote work-life balance while discussing that I had to be in the office; how ironic. Several days passed, and I emailed the requiter asking for an update. It took several days to find out that they were still deciding. A few weeks passed, and the recruiter finally contacted me and mentioned that the job was already filled. Typically, I don't mind if the job was filled or if someone better was selected. However, why would you have someone complete five interviews if the role was already filled? Additionally, and this may not describe the whole picture, all people who posted publicly online about the new job update were internal transfers within the company. This was a massive waste of time and effort when you could have just moved your internal people around.
