Ranhill Bersekutu interview questions

The interview process at Ranhill was quite challenging, especially considering my background was primarily in railway infrastructure, not in airport or BHS (Baggage Handling System) environments. During the interview, I was asked in-depth technical and situational questions that were specifically related to KLIA airport operations, which were new to me at the time. I was upfront about my lack of direct experience with BHS and airport-specific systems, but I emphasized my strong foundation in M&E works and my 17 years of experience in the construction sector. I also highlighted my proven ability to adapt and learn quickly on the job. Despite not having airport background, I believe the panel saw my potential, wide-ranging project exposure, and strong problem-solving skills. I shared examples of how I quickly adapted in previous roles and how I consistently handled complex issues under pressure. That helped me stand out. Overall, the process was tough, but it pushed me to reflect on my capabilities and reinforced my confidence that I could contribute meaningfully to the project—and I’ve proven that through my performance since joining.

I was interviewed by one of the project manager and one from HR. It was a 20-30 minutes session. Surprisingly, it was just a get-to-know-you session. No pressure I can say.
