During the 40-minute interview with the HR representative, I had an initially positive experience. However, I learned that the role I applied for was already filled, and the interview was primarily based on a referral. I found this handling of the situation to be highly unprofessional. Despite investing time in preparation, answering 5-7 questions, and completing a mathematical assignment, I was informed the role wasn't available, but they might have something else in the future. Unfortunately, when I inquired about the potential new role, I received no further information. Not surprisingly, two weeks later, I received an email stating I was unsuccessful. It appeared to me that Raisin might be conducting these kind of interviews just for administrative requirements or "window shopping" purposes. Moreover, the questions and tasks given were overly challenging for a junior applicant with only internship experience, and the role description did not align with their actual needs for the position. Adding to the frustration, I encountered difficulties understanding the HR representative due to unclear diction, making the entire experience less than satisfactory.
