I was contacted within 24 hours after submitting my application online and invited to complete a HireVue video interview. The video interview had 5 written questions (unlimited time to prepare my answers), and I had about 3 minutes to record each response. I didn't hear anything back for a month, then was contacted by the store manager for a phone interview, which lasted about 45 minutes and consisted of several in-depth questions about my knowledge of REI and the geographical area of my store, my ideas for potential programming, outreach and partnerships, and personal career goals. I received an offer within a week.
