I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Quid (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2018
Interview
I talked to a recruiter who told me the process would involve a Hackerrank challenge, then an onsite. I got to skip the recruiter phone because I met him in person. I took the Hackerrank challenge but couldn't finish because the last one was a bit of a trick question. I emailed the recruiter afterwards and never heard anything since.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Quid (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Phone screen to discuss background and interests, followed by a remote software screen tailored to the role you interviewed for, followed by an onsite interview. The interview experience was one of the best I've had, and did a fantastic job of letting a candidate showcase their strengths. Nothing I can tell you to help you prepare, but I will say this: if you're a good software engineer and you're passionate about your work you should definitely apply. You'll be very happy with the process.

Question 1
Without getting too specific, the questions were a mix of system design, showcasing previous projects that you're proud of, algorithms/datastructures, and engineering challenges that did a great job of testing your ability to solve day-to-day challenges.
