      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Prudential (Bellevue, WA) in Aug 2010

      Interview

First went in for a pretty informal 1 to 1 interview, they basically told you about the company and the position. Then completed a aptitude test the same day (which took 1-2 hours). They emailed a personality test for you to complete within 48 hours. Then went in for a 2nd interview with the manager. It was not very formal either. The manager was nice, he described your tests results, and guide you through deciding whether you would like to do this (giving you a head up that this is a straight commission job and you won't be making any money the first 3 months during your licensing & training period). If you think that's ok, they will give your Project 200 to complete (put down a name, telephone, address, etc. list of 200 people you know). Together with Project 200, you must do marketing survey with 10 people. After finishing the project, they contact you and ask you to go in for a Structured interview (with Manager and Trainer 2-3 people), which they are supposed to ask some standard interview questions. And then there should be two more interviews after this: 4) Career Presentation Meeting, and 5) Career Decision and Planning Meeting as indicated on their website.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Prudential in Sep 2015

      Interview

They found my resume was found on Monster and contacted me to apply. After initial contact, they wanted to move forward and sent an 88 question online test about what I'd be most and least likely to do in different scenarios, as well as other questions about fit, skills, and values. I "passed with flying colors" according to the office coordinator who followed up with me, and I was invited to come and speak with a mid-level manager. That interview was 1.5 hours long, going over my story, my interest in the company and the industry, and my relevant experience and skills. He presented on what is involved in the position, the benefits and training process, and about the office, company, and industry more generally. Throughout, we mentioned personal stories. Next week, he'll give me a call to ask 6 questions, predetermined by an outside agency. With luck, I'll move forward from there to interview for 3 hours with the more senior managers in the office! After that, if all goes well, I'd start the background check, training and certification process.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Prudential (Cincinnati, OH) in Dec 2014

      Interview

The process moves fast. I get the impression that they try to hire as many people as they can so they can leverage their contacts. They are very up front and transparent about the process. Be prepared to do several more background tests after you accept a position.
