      Graduate Consultant Interview

      Mar 4, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Proxima (London, England) in Dec 2019

      Interview

After the CV screening phase, it went straight to an assessment centre. We initially had lunch, where I was able to speak to current workers at the firm. This is your chance to put yourself out there, be friendly (but not too over the top) and make a good impression for yourself. Then you complete your interview, alongside a presentation which you are meant to prepare for a week prior (my designated topic was talk about something I love). It was quite an informal interview about me and my experience (mainly competancy, plus a few extras) and I really enjoyed it because although I was being asked questions, it was more conversational. After this, I had an informal Q&A session where I could ask any lingering questions I had. Once I passed this, they decided to add another 1 hour interview a week later. This was more oriented around why procurement, what my current understanding of procurement is and some questions like 'what would you do in this situation'. I didn't pass this interview unfortuntately, because I lacked motivation to work for procurement.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

1st Interview: Why Proxima? What made you want to go into procurement? What relevant experience would you have? Tell me something interesting about yourself outside of your CV. *Some basic mental arithmatic questions* *A problem solving question linked to procurement* 2nd Interview: Why procurement? What would you like to gain by working in procurement? How would you react if your decision led to lots of people becoming unemployed? How would you try reduce a cleaning company's costs? How is Brexit changing procurement?
