      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Providence (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2024

      Interview

I applied for the job in early February and a few days later, was asked to do the self-paced text interview. I opted to take it on desktop and responses were limited to simple 'yes'/'no' questions about the qualifications for the job. A few days after completing this text interview, I was sent a request to schedule an interview. This process itself was a bit frustrating as the scheduling link provided had no time slots available so I was asked to contact HR. I received no response to my inquiry but the next day I checked back to the schedule and a slot for early March was available so I signed up. Providence provides some documents on what to expect from the interview and they emphasize that it is a behavioral interview. A week later, I received a text from HR explaining that the interviewers wanted to move up my interview day to finish up all the interviews sooner. So my interview got rescheduled for late February. For the interview itself, I was interviewed by a panel of 3 people. Overall, I'd say that the interview was formal but also fun. They took turns asking me questions from a list of questions, but were responsive and engaged with my responses. It genuinely felt like they were interested in who I was and what I had to say. After the questions were finished, I was able to ask questions. I read on here that because Providence is a faith-based organization, they asked others if they would be willing to pray before meetings. I asked whether or not being a faith-based organization effected the day to days, and was reassured to hear that they are respectful of all religions and that requiring a prayer before meetings are things of the past. They'll have a moment of reflection but explained that this is to reflect on accomplishments and goals before meetings which I thought was fair. All in all, I had a very positive experience through the interview process especially the panel interview.
