I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Premise Data Corporation (Washington, DC) in Feb 2021
Interview
(All interviews took place virtually with Google Meet.) It was a multi-phase process, starting with the recruiter/HR. There was a talk with the hiring manager, then a separate talk with the director of the department. Once those phases were passed, I was approved for a take home exercise with a one or two week turnaround. It was a reasonable workload for an interview process designed for them to see your analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The last part of the interview process was a round robin interview series with the director, hiring manager, a data scientist, and someone else on the team you'd be working with to see how your personalities jived. At the end of this, you present your take home exercise to the group, field questions/defend your position (in a non-hostile way), and a little bit of banter in the end. They then reconvened somewhere else and discussed it for about 15 minutes before returning to the video conference and approving me for a job. I got a call from HR the next day specifying the salary, benefits, etc.
