      IT Consultant Interview

      Nov 11, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pliancy (New York, NY) in Nov 2020

      Interview

Had the 15 minute preliminary interview. It went well enough that I was told to expect a second interview invite from another individual. Which I never received. I followed up, with no response. Not a professional way to conduct onboarding.

Thank you for the feedback, and we're sorry you had this experience. Transparency is extremely important to us. We checked in with everyone internally who's been involved in the screening process recently, and can't figure out what happened. We'd love to hear from you directly to better understand your experience. Please email us at careers@pliancy.com referencing your interview story, and hopefully we can figure it out together.

      IT Consultant Interview

      Apr 15, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Diego, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Pliancy (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2021

      Interview

The day I submitted my resume, I heard back from one of their consultants and scheduled an initial Zoom screen with him for the next day. I felt it went pretty well, however he let me know that if I didn’t get any further this time, to keep an eye out for openings and apply again. To my surprise, I heard back later that day asking me to set up a Zoom with the hiring manager for the next week. After getting through some initial technical hurdles at the start of the interview (was out of town that week and took a gamble on hotel wi-fi. Big mistake), spoke for well over an hour with the hiring manager. There were a couple of answers I’d like back, but I thought the interview went pretty decent. Interview was casual (in a professional way) and I actually enjoyed it. The next step was a technical interview, but I was notified a few days later I was not selected to move on to that stage. I appreciate that the hiring manager proactively notified me in a timely manner and didn’t just ‘ghost’ like so many other companies seem to enjoy doing these days. I asked if they’d be willing to provide some feedback, but was given the standard legal excuse. Overall, a positive experience, despite no offer.
