I recently had my first interview with an HR representative. It was a structured discussion, following a script with key points where I shared my knowledge and experience. The interview felt positive overall—I matched the role as it was described and provided concrete examples of how my skills and experience aligned with their requirements.
A few days later, I received a response that went beyond the standard “we’ve decided to move forward with other candidates” email. However, the feedback was vague and didn’t seem to reflect the actual conversation we had during the interview. Suspecting it might be a generic response, I replied to ask for more specific feedback, as their reasoning didn’t make sense based on the interview itself.
Unfortunately, I never received a reply. This lack of communication left a poor impression and made me question how the company values its candidates. In hindsight, I may have dodged a bullet by not moving forward with an organization that doesn’t respect candidates enough to respond to follow-up emails.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Pleo (Copenhagen, Capital Region) in Apr 2022
Interview
It was AWESOME, the coding challenge was on point, the interviewers were prepared, honestly the best interview experience I ever had with a tech company. The last interview was a breeze with a lot of laughing and general talk. The team interview was challenging, but a lot of fun.
resume shortlisted and got contacted by recruiter for first round that was technical screening and the second round was to make the suggested changes in their react app. Overall a good experience
