Position was posted both internal and external. I submitted my resume and cover letter to the Human Resources Department. I was contacted via phone to discuss the position and my interest with the Human resources manager. A few days later, I received a phone call to go in for an in person interview. Because I was a previous employee, it was a little more informal. The Vice President of Human Resources let me know that although I am qualified, due to the current circumstances of our affiliate, I was not qualified enough with executive assistant experience.
