Interview
I applied online and received a call back about a month later, scheduled an interview for a couple weeks later. The two people that I talked to were SO nice and made it so easy to answer questions and I didn't feel a lot of pressure. They asked a lot of "tell me of a time when..." sort of questions! They laid everything out with me and were completely honest about how messy the job was and the feuds that go on in the salon. I answered everything they asked pretty well, except for the tell me about yourself question-which is ALWAYS asked so be prepared for that. I was called again for an interview with the store manager, and he didn't really ask me a lot, he did most of the talking, but yet again he was very nice. He showed me around the salon and where I would be, and I enjoyed it. They said I would get a call that day-but I never did. To me they gave off the impression that I would be hired there, they all seemed really welcoming to me and said they were looking forward to seeing me again. It's months later now and I have yet to be called and I've found another job.

"Tell me about yourself" -if you don't really have a good concrete answer you'll struggle with this one. Form a good and short phrase that explains who you are, memorize it!!

It took them forever to respond and when they did the woman that called me was extremely rude. She went on a long rant about how it’s gross and they can’t keep people and yada yada and I get it but it was an awful first impression

Interview
Three interviews! One with Operations Manager, one with Store Manager, and the last one was with the Salon Manager. Though it was only a little over a week it was a nail-biting process for me because I really wanted the job. This is a dream come true for me and since this site was a great help to me through the interview process I want to pay-it-forward and give my account of the interview process.
Just be yourself, they can tell if you're fake. Customer service and a love for animals is key. I felt a little intimated during the first two interviews because the interviewers were very business-like (in a good way) and good at keeping a pokerface so I had no idea what was going through their heads when I was answering questions.
