      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Jun 8, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Raleigh, NC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PeopleFluent (Raleigh, NC) in Dec 2013

      Interview

Interview process was good, met with a few key people and we covered a broad range of topics. We discussed both technical and non-technical aspects of the job. The online application process was a bit painful though. I found the uploading of my resume to be painful because I still had to fill out a lot of fields that it wasn't able to interpret correctly. I also had to do this in two different places and the information I filled out in one area didn't transfer to another area.

      Question 1

We discussed some of the technical aspects of the job including some Java and C# technical questions.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at PeopleFluent (Raleigh, NC) in Nov 2013

      Interview

The interview process was great. I was able to get a lot of information regarding the role that I was interviewing for. I also got to know the people as well as you possibly can in the amount of time allotted for the interview. Each person was open, professional, and friendly. The rest of the hiring process was a little bit more difficult. There was the standard drug analysis testing, which was fine. But the process for background check was a bit of a pain. I had already filled out all previous job information during the application process, but was also requested to fill that out again for the background check company. Then, the background check company requested that I provide them with additional information that I honestly think they should have been able to determine on their own considering that's what they do for a living -- I simply used Google to provide the additional information they were asking. I think the company should consider getting a new background check partner.

      Question 1

The interviews went great, so I'm not really sure there was an unexpected question and as for difficulty, I guess there were some of the standard difficult questions regarding why I was leaving current role, how I handled conflict, and so on, but nothing that was really difficult to answer.
