I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Peerless Network (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2022
Interview
There were emails back and forth. There was a conference call. Reviewed what the company did and my experience. Usual stuff: pay range, job duties, why do you want to work here, etc. Things went well, I thought.
They said they'd offer me a job. They sent out a background check and said a written offer would come soon. Weeks turned into months. Which turned into half a year. Through it all, communication was sporadic, if it happened.
I was contacted again to be told that yes, an offer was coming.
Finally, I was told there would be no offer thanks to Infobip buying them out.
I was lied to. They kept me on the hook as long as they could.
I think I dodged a bullet avoiding a job there. If they treat candidates like that, how much worse is the employee experience?
Don't trust these people.
We started with a phone interview which went into my background, experiences, and what I am looking for in a career. They then explained the job and the culture. We then moved on to an in person interview where I met a few of the more senior folks.
