They've had this position open for a very long time, and I wouldn't be completely surprised if they're sourcing one-off consulting projects for their real clients under the guise of "searching for the right fit." I did appreciate how communicative all parties were throughout the process, and YES they did mention that they weren't in a real rush to hire - but if they haven't found someone who fits the bill by now, I do sincerely wonder what it really is that they're looking for.

Initial phone screening, role-specific project, followed by an interview with other team members where you walked through the project, detailed out your presentation, and answered questions. This project was fairly in-depth and questions/comments were geared towards systems-thinking, digital strategies, and general marketing terms.
